"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."  2 Timothy 2:15

The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of the phrase "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed".  The goal of AWANA is to reach boys and girls as well as their families with the gospel of Jesus Christ and train them to serve Him.  AWANA is for kids ages 3-12.

They are divided into one of the following groups:  Cubbies for 3-5 year olds, Sparks for K-2nd graders and T&T for 3rd - 5th graders.  In each of these groups, kids will participate in games, memorize Bible verses and come together for a discipleship time.

"Jesus answered, "The most important is, 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.   And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'  The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

Mark 12:29-31

This year's Awana theme is "Plug into miGod".  With today's technology, kids are "plugged into" ipods, ipads, iphones, Facebook, Twitter, etc.   Instead of the world's technology, we want kids to get plugged into the awesome God of the universe.  So this year's Awana focus will be developing relationships with Jesus, with the church body and with the community as well as discipleship and missions.

The little disciples will have the opportunity to go on mission to Guatemala right from home, serve the community, and, of course, build, grow, and experience a deeper relationship with Jesus.

There is an annual fee to participate in AWANA clubs to help cover the cost of books, uniforms, and awards. This is a one-time fee that covers the entire year.

The dues are as follows:

$35.00 for each child, or

$85.00 maximum per family

We don't want to lose any child because of a monetary problem, so please see one of the AWANA commanders if you have a family hardship in paying these dues.

Uniforms for new students are worn after completing their entrance booklets. There is a charge for replacing lost or damaged uniforms or books.

In addition, there are other items for purchase for your children to enhance the program if you are interested.
